Through out my time in the cleaning business, I have come across some handy cleaning tips I would like to pass on to you. I will be adding to this post on a regular basis. Here are a few tips to get you started:Replacing your carpet due to serious pet odors? After the old carpet is removed, mop the floor with bleach to kill the odors that may have gone into the sub-floor. This will keep the pet odors from reoccurring after the new carpet is put down.
Gum on your carpet? Take an ice cube and place it for a couple of minutes on the gum to harden it. Remove the gum with a dull knife.
Bad stains in your toilet? Did you know that a pumice stone (which is normally used to help remove dead skin from the hands or feet) will remove the hard water stains in your toilet or sink almost immediately? Be careful though, if you have fiberglass toilets or sinks, they may be scratched by using the pumice stone.
Still using Windex to clean your windows? I use Joy dishwashing soap in all my window cleaning and is works amazingly well. It not only cleans the grease and dirt, it also leaves a nice lemon smell in your home.
